In Latin we don’t say “I love you,” we say “Pedicabo ego vos” which means “You are the image of my heart.”
I just think this is really beautiful.
I translated this last year. It’s from Catullus and he says: “pedicabo ego vos et irrumabo” which means “I will sodomize and face-fuck you.” Catullus was not really a nice guy.

Tomorrow I’m finally going to the Dutch institute of astrophysics to do research on muons! I wrote them a letter and they allowed me to come a whole day hahaha. Maybe I’ll post some data tomorrow
Being on the internet so often I feel like there is a quiet cultural revolution going on in America with regards to nerds. I now often come across people who actually say they are nerdy in order to be “cool”, which traditionally sounds contradictory by definition.
A change in culture like this will spread to Europe, it always does. Perhaps the next century will be known as the age of nerds?
